Bar the slightly smaller physical dimensions, the primary difference between the DSI and the DS Lite and the original DS “Fat” is the addition of two 0.3 megapixel cameras, opening up a whole new world of possible creative options for developers.
However, what may turn out to have the biggest impact is the new DSIWare system that Nintendo is introducing, that will allow users to download software wirelessly over the Internet, without the need for any additional equipment.
This radical move will have traditional high-street game retailers losing sleep as users may find it far more convenient to download titles, even if they are initially free, casual titles, than making a trip to the high-street.
